Rev 12:3

The seven heads of the beast in Rev 12:3 are very similar in prophesy to the different materials composing the image in the Daniel’s vision in Daniel 2.  The materials in Daniel 2 represent the different kingdoms that came, or are coming to power.  Likewise in Revelation 12 the heads of the beast represent the same kingdoms. They also represent different time periods of world history.  The “time, times and an half” in Daniel 12 are the same as the “one thousand two hundred and three score days” in Revelation 12.  These meaning 1260 days, or 1260 years under the day for a year prophesy.  The 1260-year prophecy started in 538 and ended in 1798, these years became known as the Dark Ages.  Some people believe that these years will turn into days due to the statement in Revelation 10:6, “that there should be time no longer” and that the prophecy will repeat itself in the time of the end.
